Senior Outcomes Research Scientist - London

Paramount is currently working with an outstanding global research consultancy that specialises in partnering with the life science industry to deliver clinical and economic evidence to substantiate the value of their products and optimize their products' market access and commercial success.

As part of the Outcomes Research team you will focus on disease effects and interventions in various areas with key focus on clinical outcome assessments such as patient-reported outcomes, utility/preference studies, secondary analyses of clinical trial data and other survey or observational study types.

As an Outcomes Research Scientist you will be responsible for providing evidence about benefits, risks, and results of treatments whilst overseeing all aspects of project delivery and delegating project management and scientific tasks to more junior staff.

Key Responsibilities:
*Consulting on strategic insights for PRO inclusions in drug development
*Applying in-depth knowledge of scientific methods, both quantitative and/or qualitative
*Advise and implement the best methods and scientific innovation in project plans and design
*Present scientific work in peer-reviewed journals and at professional meetings
*Contribute to OR financial performance through contribution to funding stream and work allocation
*Develop proposals, drafting complex steps for scientific integrity to ensure methodological and strategic aspects
*Oversee and conduct internal scientific training and mentor less senior staff members
*Manage proposal leads independently and close sales with responsibility for sales targets and client development

Skills and Requirements:
*PhD in scientific discipline and more than 4 years' experience in relevant field; or a Master's degree in scientific discipline with 5-10 years' experience in relevant field
*Knowledge of regulatory requirements and guidelines, preferably both in the EU and the US
*Knowledge of outcomes research study designs and related methodology (most typically Patient-reported outcomes clinical outcomes assessments, utility/preference studies etc.)
*3 years+ experience in research management
*Proficient in Microsoft Office and statistical software packages
*Consultancy experience with the ability to understand clients' needs
*Strong organizational, communication, and staff management skills and experience
