My client, a global healthcare company, is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join their team in Northern Scotland.
This is a permanent position, offering excellent progression and development opportunities, that will focus on tax and compliance.
You will cover varied aspects of Finance from SOX, UK Statutory Reporting, UK Tax, Manufacturing Accounting and US Financial Reporting
You will be the lead for UK Statutory Reporting, US Reporting, Tax reporting and Compliance.
As a Finance Senior Analyst your typical day may include:
*Lead the Statutory reporting requirements as a stand alone UK company working closely with the UK tax Group and audit team
*Lead role in the Tax reporting requirements as a stand alone UK company working closely with the UK Tax group
*Compliance Lead - SOX / External reporting / GXRS / Credit card use
*Month End Close Lead for the Supply Chain Finance team on site
*Lead the Forecast process and submissions - JU / NU / PBP / FBP and Latest Thinking
*Working closely with the Finance Plant Controller on all submissions
*Lead the US reporting requirements - Bravo / TM1 submissions
*Liaise with key stakeholders to define automatic processes for the submissions
*Support the systems used for reporting within the site - BPC / TM1 / JDE ERP and Bravo
*Lead and Support the implementation of Standardized processes across the Supply Chain Finance group
*Ensures accurate accounting and reporting. As process owner, build strong communication channels with the business finance teams and operations staff to ensure a full understanding of the Finance processes and timelines
*Build a strong control environment around the Financial Reporting tasks and as DCM owner of Financial Reporting, BVA, Tax and SOD ensure that all roles and responsibilities are understood and active for key control areas. Review and improve the current SOP's and Work Instructions supporting the key controls.
*Take the lead to close out any compliance gaps within the Tax / Financial Reporting / BVA and SOD area's
*Independent preparation of entries/reports/schedules needed to complete a timely financial close.
*Ensure accuracy of all entries and Reconciliations in accordance with GAAP, Compliance, Internal Audit and SOX requirements
*Continuously builds knowledge of the Company-wide processes and understanding of the "bigger picture"
*Ad hoc one time requests.
You will have following skills and experience:
*Degree level qualifications
*Qualified accountant with financial experience (may consider almost qualified)
*Experience in Finance / General Accounting / Inventory / Fixed Assets / Tax / Statutory reporting
*Good technical accounting background
*Knowledge of JDE preferred but not essential, advanced Excel skills required
*Understanding of Audit
*TAX - understanding of UK group tax and P&L
*Strong attention to detail high level of accuracy
*Strong interpersonal & communication skills with an ability to work with people at different levels, in remote locations and where English may not be first language.
*Ability to see the bigger picture as well as the detail
