This mid-sized, international, patient centric pharmaceutical company is looking to recruit an R&D Quality Director to be based at their R&D site in France. With a strong pipeline of urology/oncology, endocrinology, neurology and primary care products in clinical trials, in addition to ongoing product acquisitions across all therapy areas, this organisation has entered an exciting period of growth.

As R&D Quality Director, reporting into the VP of Quality based in the UK, you will be responsible for the overall quality function on a global level, providing quality management support to Discovery, Clinical Development, Medical Affairs and Pharmacovigilance teams based in Europe. This will involve oversight of the quality management system, hosting audits and inspections, management of the CAPA process and leadership of the local team in France.

This role offers the opportunity to develop both clinical and non-clinical QA processes whilst working with multiple functions across the business in addition to having involvement in due diligence activities to support acquisitions as the company acquires new products.

To be considered for this position you will have a strong background in GCP quality management gained within the pharmaceutical/biotech or CRO environment with additional understanding of/experience in GMP. You will have extensive experience in the management of a Quality Management System and CAPA processes and in hosting / leading regulatory inspections and audits. Experience of leading a quality function and in supervising, coaching, mentoring and developing a team is essential.

To be successful in this role you will be a confident communicator with the ability to motivate, encourage and inspire a team. You will either be operating at Director level currently, or an experienced Senior Manager/Associate Director ready to step up into a department lead role.
