Process Chemist

SRG is working with a well- established engineering company who specialise in nickel plating and surface technology. Supplying to a diverse customer base across the globe they are now looking to expand their technical team by hiring a degree qualified chemist who has worked in a manufacturing environment. The role would suit a hands on chemist comfortable with a mix of duties and some physical work.
The Role:
* Manufacture of nickel plating chemistry up to 1000L per time
* Ordering of raw materials
* Testing of shims to validate the nickel processing by:
o Bend Test
o Harness Test
o Feroxyl Test
o Kesternich Test
o Micro-Section Test
* Moving containers using a Forklift - Training provided
* Preparation of data packs for returned customer parts
* Assisting in the implementation of BSI 17025 by preparing and collating data
Required:
* Degree in Chemistry or a related field.
* Industrial Chemistry background.
* Experience of a manufacturing environment.
* Willing to learn.
* Takes ownership of tasks.
In return the company are offering a competitive salary, 21 days holiday, plus bank holidays and Xmas off, working hours 7am - 3 Monday to Friday.
