A global clinical services organisation is currently offering a Biostatistician a Principal level opportunity with the flexibility for the successful candidate to work from any remote location in the UK, and potentiall Europe if you have significant experience.

As a Principal Biostatistician will be joining an international clinical research organisation currently located in several cities across the UK and Europe. This company are a global provider to pharmaceutical and biotechnology organisations and they have a fantastic reputation for delivering quality services in phases I-IV, and across all therapeutic areas.

As a Principal Biostatistician you will acts as a lead Statistician for multiple projects with various levels of complexity. You will be a primary representative of the team and have main contact with the sponsors/clients for all biostatistics activities on specified projects. This role will be key to providing accurate and consistent information to external partners and internal units, to ensure clinical trials are managed efficiently.

Responsibilities could also include:

*Participating in protocol development by choosing an appropriate study design, including statistical methodologies, and writing the statistical section of the protocol.
*Contributing to Statistical Analysis Plans, including development of mock-up displays for tables, listings, and figures
*Guiding the activities of other Biostatistics personnel on assigned projects to ensure timely completion of high quality work
*Interfacing as necessary with other departmental project team representatives
*Supporting business development activities including proposals, budgets, and attending external meetings
*Ensuring the project output meets expectations and is consistent with analysis described in SAP as well as conducting and participating in review and QC of project deliverables
*Monitoring the progress on study activities against agreed timescales and
*Ensuring correct study closeout through documentation of study related materials
*Identifying and delegating tasks to junior members of the team
*Be a team player, enthusiastic and have the drive to move the business forward

Experience & Qualifications Required:

*Masters degree (minimum) or PhD in Biostatistics or related field
*Around 5 years experience working in Biostatistics for a pharmaceutical, CRO or Biotechnology
*Significant experience in clinical trials and SAS programming
*Excellent knowledge of statistical theory including experimental design, categorical data analysis, survival analysis, and other methods
*Effective English written and verbal communication skills
*Eligibility to work in the UK
