Job Description R&D Assistant Aircare Hull Salary- Competitive


Our client is a hugely successful global FMCG company which holds a strong position in the FTSE 20. This organisation is the name behind many market leading health, personal care and household products.

As a result of continued success our client is seeking an individual to join an already successful and high profile Research & Development team within the Aircare category.

Key responsibilities are expected to include:
- Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with key contacts both inside and outside of the business.
- Carry out laboratory scale preparation and routine testing of formulations and competitor products etc.
- Evaluate alternative raw materials for substitution in products.
- Assist in the development of experimental formulae within a product area.
- Assist in the development of new product concepts in the prototype test stage.
- Organise and carry out storage tests, keep accurate records, monitor the effects of changing materials or methods.

The successful candidate is expected to have:
- Experience of working for an FMCG company on consumer led products and a relevant scientific degree
- A relevant technical background, such as aerosols & sprays, powered devices, fragranced aircare
- A relevant MSc of PhD would prove advantageous
- Clear and confident communication skills and an ability to work to tight deadlines
- Proven ability to work in a fast paced environment while maintaining strong attention to detail
- Capable of working on your own initiative and as part of a team
