Role:

As a result of continued success and expansion, our client has an opportunity for an individual to conduct and execute the sensory insights programme that will support specific R&D categories. This opportunity is within the Home Care & Polishes R&D category, reporting to the Sensory Team leader.


Duties and Responsibilities:

* Co-ordinate the Consumer Insight testing programme and team to support the NPD delivery
* Identify and facilitate new initiatives and techniques in consumer research to support the changing needs of the category
* Lead the sensory team in ensuring a regular programme of consumer research testing (both qualitative and quantitative) on site and in homes, and utilising online testing methods with participation from US and UK testing panels
* Build strong working relationships with external market research providers, as well as the Category R&D, Marketing, Market Research and SSG teams
* Maintain testing facilities, compliance & data protection, team performance and development, and resource prioritisation, as research will span multiple projects
* contribute to breakthrough innovations by identifying different insights, developing new concepts as a result and relaying these to the Innovation team


Candidate Profile:

* Consumer Research experience gained within a FMCG environment
* Knowledge of statistical analysis techniques, educated to degree level in a scientific discipline
* Strong and effective communication, analytical and interpersonal skills
* Demonstrated continuing professional development, for example membership of relevant professional bodies
* Proficient project management & business skills including an innovative approach to problem solving, influence and team-leadership
* Flexible, open to potential travel within the role
