Paramount recruitment is currently working with an excellent, growing health research consultancy based in London. They are looking for a creative Health Economic Modeller to undertake a full time, permanent position which will be office based (home working flexibility with time).

The company specialises in working collaboratively with a range of clients from across the industry, government, academia and charities, covering a broad range of projects. These include leading both clinical and academic research, generating evidence to improve healthcare decisions and businesses to support pricing and reimbursements and influencing health policies on national and international platforms.

As a Health Economic Modeller you will be the lead for all health economic modelling projects within the company working on a broad range of challenging and stimulating projects.

Key Responsibilities:
*Developing health economic models (CEA, CBA and CUA), decision analysis, Markov models, costing studies, budget impact models, return on investment models, etc.
*Planning, designing and conducting original health research
*Full management of project planning and delivery including day-to-day management, working on multiple projects against tight deadlines, with our core team and external collaborators
*Writing proposals, grant applications, peer-reviewed journals, HTA submissions, and reports
*Leading and managing client relationships and ensuring client satisfaction
*Managing and training junior staff, and work closely with other internal and external team members, depending on experience
*Building links with collaborators and expanding the network, again depending on experience

Skills and Experience:
*PhD in Health Economics, Economic Modelling, or related field, or MSc with equivalent experience
*Designing and developing economic evaluation studies, economic models (decision analysis, Markov models, budget impact models, return on investment models, cost-utility and cost-effectiveness models, etc.)
*Extensive experience with modelling and analysis in Excel and VBA
*Statistical background such as designing analyses, using a statistics packages (STATA, R, @Risk, etc.), writing programs/code, interpreting results
*Experience leading projects, proven experience in project management and delivering results successfully to deadlines; demonstrated ability to prioritise
*Experience leading teams and supervising staff is desirable
*Ability to manage healthy and productive relationships with clients and collaborators
*Knowledge of the UK health care system and data sources
*The ability to write peer-reviewed publications, proposals/grants, reports
*Consultancy experience is desirable
*Experience using health economic analytical packages such as TreeAge is also desirable
