Paramount Recruitment are pleased to announce a brand new opportunity based in Oxfordshire, exclusive to us. Their vision is to develop an integrated platform of genomic analysis tools that can be used across the healthcare industry, from pharmaceutical drug development to clinical decision-making.

The Head of Pharma Analytics will drive the development of an already established analytics team. You should have an exceptionally strong profile in statistics, from a genetics environment, and be a proactive individual who is passionate about the opportunity of genetics to transform the pharmaceutical industry.

Responsibilities:

*Developing and applying innovative statistical methods and tools to genome-phenotype datasets to uncover relationships in human biology and disease
*Growing relationships across the pharmaceutical industry by working with clients to understand their business challenges
*Addressing and solving complex problems within statistical genetics
*Ability to lead an analytics team and provide support to less senior people in the team
*An understanding of the scientific questions which arise in connection with drug development, and the ability to choose and, where appropriate, to develop the right statistical methods for tackling these

Experienced Required:
*PhD in Statistical Genetics or other related discipline
*Demonstrated team and project leadership skills from a working position
*Outstanding statistical analysis skills which include detailed understanding hands on experience of methods for GWAS, including mixed model and Bayesian approaches
*Strong communication skills
*Strong reputation, most likely gained within the academic community, for novel and insightful analyses which make a difference to the science
*The ability to lead work at the interface between statistical genetics and the scientific problems to which it can be addressed

This is a truly unique opportunity for an experienced Statistician to join an ambitious, growing business with exposure to cutting edge research and pharmaceutical analysis.
