Description

Are you experienced in Chromatography (LC-MS?)
Do you have a strong knowledge of GLP?

Our client is a well know CRO who are looking for someone to join the team.
Main Duties to:

* Receiving analytical requests, and carrying out (or guiding their team in carrying out) revenue generating laboratory-based analytical project work, applying diverse analytical techniques to a wide range of sample types.
* Associated data processing, data interpretation and report writing; peer review of data / reports generated by team members.
* Supervising team members carrying out method development and validation, including drafting of related documents (methods, protocols, reports).
* Line managing an internal team; selecting appropriate team members for the completion of analytical tasks; ensuring the quality of team outputs.
* Working with their Section Manager to maintain a diverse team of staff with complementary skills and competencies, ensuring high levels of performance, development and motivation; providing technical guidance and training to team members; oversee training of new members of staff.
* Ensure all equipment is maintained and upkeep is managed by the appropriate staff.
* Principle techniques dependent on experience and training.
* Client liaison, inter-group liaison, internal projects and initiatives.
* Contributing to and adhering to company standard operating procedures.
* Training of co-workers in own specialist techniques.

Qualifications/Role Requirements:

* BSc or PhD in an analytical, chemical or related scientific field with demonstrated, relevant experience.
* Broad practical experience in developing and validating analytical methods; method development research skills.
* Experienced in the use of complex analytical instrumentation.
* Experience and fundamental knowledge of the following technical areas - GC, LC, IS and MS.
* Experience of developing GC and IC methods.
* Experience of working in GMP and GLP regulated environments (inc. quality, health and safety).
* Familiarity with good scientific practice.
* Demonstrated ability to take initiative, think and work independently, problem-solve, work in teams and multitask.
* Able to identify and highlight own training needs, and proactively upskill.
* Equipment maintenance and trouble-shooting skills.
* Strong written and oral communications skills; IT Literate.
* Proactive approach to your work.
* A full, clean UK driving license.

Working Hours

* Full time (37.5hrs per week)
