Executive Assistant
To the CEO of Genomics England!
100,000 Genomes Project - PA Team - Competitive salary
Paramount are working in partnership with Genomics England to expand their team in order to deliver success with the 100,000 Genomes Project. This is a challenging and fast moving project with the aim to carry out whole genome sequencing on 100,000 participants. A fantastic new opportunity has become available for an Executive Assistant to work for the CEO of Genomics England. You will be working as part of their PA team (3 people) and will provide high quality executive personal assistance and administrative support to the Chair and CEO.
This role would be ideal for someone who has experience of handling and performing standard PA functions and can really understand what the organisation does.
Your main responsibilities as an Executive Assistant will involve:
*Proactive diary management for the Chair and CEO and arranging internal and external meetings.
*Preparing presentations and briefing notes often with limited input from senior colleagues.
*Arranging travel and hotel accommodation.
*Taking minutes and following up post-meeting action points.
*Proactively managing incoming post, e-mails and calls and drafting and sending standard letters and e-mails.
*Assisting with the collating and distribution of Board and executive level agendas, reports and minutes.
*Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and managing discreet projects.
*Undertaking general office duties that support the delivery of the executive team's objectives.
The ideal Executive Assistant will meet the following requirements:
*Strong diary and meeting management skills with expertise in managing multiple diaries for senior leadership members.
*Ability to manage stakeholders and build effective relationships at all levels and strong influencing skills.
*Able to rapidly gain a good understanding of the organisation and its key partners and stakeholders and ability to think strategically.
*Excellent written and interpersonal skills.
*Competent use of all standard MS Office applications, with PowerPoint, Word and Outlook as an expert user.
*Good at juggling tasks and prioritising.
*Accurate, with good attention to detail.
*Understanding of standard office management processes and systems.
*Able to work autonomously and manage/ influence others to meet deadlines and required standards.
