Engagement / Business Development Manager - Netherlands

A world leading consultancy based in the Netherlands have opened up a brand new role for an Engagement Manager to head up client services for the epidemiology, HEOR, pricing and reimbursement decisions, comparative effectiveness and health technology assessments solutions. This business pride themselves on having one of the strongest, and largest, teams of professionals in this field and are excited to grow this even further.

This senior position will be vital to building a network in the Netherlands for this organisation, therefore you should already have a good idea of the NL/European market for these services and excellent people skills with prior business development experience.

Responsibilities

*Responsibility for client engagements including client satisfaction and delivering high levels of quality/added value
*Meeting and exceeding set targets by developing and delivering insightful, value-added solutions that address complex client issues
*Researching and identifying new opportunities at existing and potential clients
*Ensuring a continuous flow of business from client engagements
*Remaining current on industry, client and competitive trends and directions in order to anticipate and identify new business challenges
*Leading proposal development to ensure actionable, on-target and timely proposals are provided to clients
*Serving as a HEOR and RWE solutions-based expert by applying consultative problem solving skills
*Knowledge of consulting methodologies, tools and techniques related to HEOR, contributing to market awareness of the company capabilities in the market place
*Attending speaking engagements and client meetings
*Plays a significant role on account planning and strategy with wider sales and business development team
* Establish close collaboration with research groups in the field of epidemiology, statistics and outcomes research in Nordic countries as well as the broader European setting
*No management of staff required immediately

Experience Required

*10-15 years of work experience in real world evidence, EMR technology or health care organisations and health authorities (ideally in a consulting environment)
*Training in the field of medicine, epidemiology, business administration or health economics and outcomes research is preferred
*Experience from working with quantitative research is desirable
*Experience of leading team in the design, development and delivery of consulting projects
*Working experience in one of the following industries: Pharmaceutical or other Healthcare Industry, Academic Organisation
*Client influencing and consultative relationship building skills
*Great level of English writing skills to write reports and manuscripts in clear, concise language as required (Dutch would be an asset)
*Has necessary subject matter expertise in HEOR & Real World Evidence solutions to be able to have senior level client discussions
*Knowledge and understanding of the marketplace and established network among research groups, academia, payers and other associations key people
*Numerate and good quantitative skills (Excel) and competency in using Word and PowerPoint
*Excellent presentation and client influencing skills
*Ability to profitably price engagements, manage complex relationships, juggle priorities, and resources to tight deadlines
