Data Management/SAS Programmer - Bedfordshire

A new, permanent opportunity for a Data Management/SAS Programmer has become available with a major medical device company and one of the world's largest consumer brands businesses. With a variety of strong brands in the market place, this organisation is active in the design, marketing and sale of consumer diagnostic products.

Our client is currently based across Europe, and this particular role would be office based in Bedfordshire. You will be working within the small and friendly Statistics and Data Management department, and often collaborating with talented clinical research, regulatory and product specialists within the business.

The successful candidate will provide programming support to the Data Management team. Additionally, you will work alongside the Data Management Team Lead in the development, validation and documentation of data capture, data management and reporting systems for either internal or external clinical trials work as required.

Main Responsibilities:

*Working independently with key stake holders to fully understand the requirements of applications
*Designing Case Record Form's (CRF's) using Teleform data capture system according to study protocol
*Developing new SAS applications which enable efficient processing, storage and summary of data from both internal and external clinical trials and product work
*Ensuring all systems are fully documented and validated according to requirements
*Evaluating alternative data management systems and implementing new systems as required

Who we are looking for:

*Educated to degree level in computer science and/or at least 1-2 years experience programming using SAS for clinical studies
*Experience of CRF design essential with experience of Teleform desirable
*Experience of programming in Visual Studio .NET (e.g. VB .NET) desirable
*Validation and documentation skills
*An analytical, forward thinker who can communicate well in the team
*The ability to work independently with key project stakeholders and without direct supervision
*Understanding of reading clinical protocols and what Data Management support is required
