This position will involve having responsibility for managing a number of permanent and contract CRAs who are responsible for meeting the objectives of a clinical study as laid down in the
respective monitoring plans, protocols and SOPs. Budget management and departmental personnel are key responsibilities.

Duties will include but not limited to:

* Accountable for the cost and execution of monitoring activities by the CRAs at the required
utilization level
* Ensuring quality and timelines of the monitoring activities with respect to
execution and reporting as defined in the Monitoring Plans.
* Ensuring that monitoring activities meet the applicable scientific, regulatory
and ethical standards.
* Ensuring priorities and appropriate resources are maintained for the projects assigned to their area.
* Manage approximately 8-10 CRAs as assigned by the Monitoring Manager. This will include setting objectives, quality supervision, performance acceleration as well as performance assessment.
* Responsibility for specific assigned departmental wide roles, including Monitoring Portfolio Specialist or Lead Monitor for major, complex studies.
* Will have working knowledge of applicable Medical Device regulations and work with Regulatory Affairs Department and other regulatory bodies in countries as and when necessary.
* Maintain a high level of professional scientific technical and clinical expertise through familiarity with relevant literature, attending scientific meetings and appropriate training, and through interaction with various internal/external experts or departments/institutes.
* Possible contribution to ongoing SOP review and development.
* Assisting the Monitoring Manager in the overall HR aspect of the CRAs assigned to the Region.

Experience and qualifications:

* Life science degree
* CRA line management would be beneficial
* Strong medical device knowledge
* Confident with on site clinical monitoring ideally within medical devices

Additional Skills:

* People management skills
* Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
* Excellent at multi-tasking
* Proficient knowledge of medical terminology
* GCP and regulatory compliance guidelines for clinical
trials expertise
* Effective problem solver
* Clinical and outcomes Monitoring study design knowledge
