Contract Senior Data Manager - Basel (12 month rolling)

Clinical Data Management, Pharmaceutical Company, Statistics, SAS

12 months initially, for a 5 year project with high chance of extension

Paramount Recruitment is collaborating with a successful pharmaceutical company in Basel who would like to strengthen their Data Management team with a new Senior Data Manager.

Basel is an attractive city with plenty of museums, scenic settings and a beautiful old town. You have the option to live on the borders of Switzerland, Germany or France and it is a hub for the world most renowned pharmaceutical companies. Working for this particular company you will focus on developing products in the therapy areas of fungal infections, oncology and bacterial infections. The team are excited to bring a new Data Manager on board to manage the CROs who are performing data management and statistical tasks for their clinical studies, and ensure that the deliverables are provided on time and to a high level of quality.

Role Responsibilities:

*Managing studies performed by CROs for Data Management and Statistics
*Reviewing Data Management and Statistics study deliverables provided by the CRO such as eCRF/database set-up, data management plan, statistical analysis plan, datasets (CDISC), tables, figures and listings
*Ensure compliance in accordance with the company standards
*Providing feedback to the study team on progress and activities at the Data Management and Statistics CRO
*Performing ongoing filing of study documentation and data
*Maintain strong knowledge of all aspects of data management, particularly for Phase III global registration trials
*Good knowledge of the development of randomization lists, statistical analysis plan, allocation to analysis populations and the content of clinical study output
*Overseeing contracts, payments, timelines, quality, cost and deliverables from the CRO
*Support clinical review of data in SAS
*Coordinate development of the PK analysis the company's Clinical Pharmacologist and the Statistics CRO

Experience Required:

*Educated to degree level in a relevant Life Sciences field
*Proven experience in a pharmaceutical company / CRO as a Data Manager
*Good knowledge of SAS programming
*Good knowledge of SDTM and CDASH standards.
*Fluent written and spoken English, German language knowledge would be an advantage
*Strong Leadership skills, ability to work in a team, great organisational skills
*Good organizational skills take responsibility for tasks
