Communications Executive - 6-months fixed-term - Immediate start before Christmas!

Internal Communications, Genomics, 100k Genomes Project!

Paramount are working in partnership with Genomics England to expand their team in order to deliver success with the 100,000 Genomes Project. This is a challenging and fast moving project with the aim to carry out whole genome sequencing on 100,000 participants. As it moves beyond the 100k mark, Genomics England are working with the NHS to launch the world's first Genomic Medicine Service.

A fantastic position has become available for a Communications Executive to join their Communications and Engagement team. You will be shaping and implementing the organisation's communications strategy by managing its internal communications, supporting PR delivery and media plans, and undertaking a range of corporate communications activity.

This role would be ideal for someone in between contracts, with 2-3 years' experience in Internal Communications.

Your main responsibilities will involve:
*Supporting the Senior Communications Manager in the development of the internal communications strategy.
*Overseeing the implementation of the internal communications strategy, producing and delivering effective and engaging internal communications.
*Supporting and regularly deputizing for the Senior Communications Manager in delivering external media relations.
*Supporting the organisation's wider corporate communications and stakeholder engagement activities.
*Writing and producing a range of external communications materials.
*Helping manage the delivery of events: logistics, content and working with third parties as appropriate.
*Working on specific communications projects to support key organisational priorities
*Providing press office out of hours roster cover as required.

The ideal candidate will fulfil the following requirements:
*Experience of developing communications strategy and implementing campaigns.
*Experience of delivering internal communications strategies and plans.
*Familiarity with a range communications disciplines, including media handling.
*Event management capabilities and the ability to specify, procure, commission and manage third party suppliers.
*Ability to draft and deliver corporate-level communication plans and materials.
*Strong communication capabilities (written and oral).
*First class drafting, proof reading and editing skills.
*Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
*Strong networking and interpersonal skills.
*Budget management experience.
*Proven project management and organisation skills.
