Commercial Partnerships Manager

Bioinformatics & Genomics - 100,000 Genomes Project - Commercial Division!

Paramount are working in partnership with Genomics England to expand their team in order to deliver success with the 100,000 Genomes Project. This is a challenging and fast moving project with the aim to carry out whole genome sequencing on 100,000 participants.
Currently the Commercial Division are looking for an experienced Commercial Partnerships Manager to support the development and maintenance of the engagement with current and potential industrial partners and manage accounts.

This role would be ideal for someone PhD-trained who has then moved into a commercial role (Business Development, Partnerships Manager). A background in Life Sciences (Biomedical, Bioinformatics, Genomics, Genetics, Biology, etc.) is essential. Preferably candidates should have worked in CROs, Biotech or Pharmaceutical companies in order to understand the processes.

Your main responsibilities as a Commercial Partnerships Manager will include:
-Working with the senior commercial team members to execute the commercial strategy and operational delivery plan for Genomics England
-Managing delivery of existing agreements and communication with stakeholders from across relevant areas of industry partners
-Developing and evaluating future relationships with existing industry partners and potential partners from across the spectrum of the life sciences industry
-Working with internal and external partners to ensure success of research/informatics platform to meet industry needs
-Coordinating internal resources to meet commercial agreements and communicate voice of industry into activities.
-Reporting on commercial partnership performance in line with agreed metrics and producing management reports
-Preparing comprehensive market sounding reports, briefing notes, correspondence and other materials.

The ideal candidate will fulfil the following requirements:
-Commercially astute, with demonstrable understanding of negotiation and partnership working
- Domain knowledge and work experience in any of the following areas: Bioinformatics, Biology, Genomics, Life Sciences, Drug Discovery, Pharma, Genetics Research, Biotech
-Business qualification or equivalent experience, e.g. consulting, business analysis, project management
-Solid stakeholder and partnership skillsets
-Demonstration of successful working across government, academia, the health sector and industry
-Experience of working in a dynamic project environment
-Good presentation and networking skills
