SUMMARY

The Commercial Manager will report directly to the Director of Commercial, responsible for contributing to and delivering the company's commercial and business strategy.

This will involve interaction at all levels within the company and externally with stakeholders, industry and customers. A key aspect of the job is to develop new business and negotiate contracts with new and current key customers and providing the alliance management needed to maintain these relationships. Further, the Commercial Manager will advise on the potential of new arising intellectual property and assist in the maintenance of such.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



* To contribute to the development of the company's on-going commercial strategy and to deliver the business plan.



* To be responsible for the relationship management of key customer and stakeholders.



* To maintain awareness of third party commercial technologies and practices that could add value to the business and seek out licences to transfer such technologies into the company.



* To identify, protect and maintain IP and portfolio.



* To be responsible for costing and pricing of projects for customers working closely with the Finance team.



* Work with legal resources to formulate and negotiate customer service and supply contracts to obtain favourable terms.



* To prepare and present regular progress reports to senior management including key progress against key objectives and business plans.



* To identify new market opportunities and develop new business cases to exploit these opportunities.
