Commercial Business Analyst - Genomics
London
Paramount are working in partnership with Genomics England to expand their team in order to deliver success with the 100,000 Genomes Project. This is a challenging and fast moving project with the aim to carry out whole genome sequencing on 100,000 participants.
The Business Analyst is responsible for carrying out market analysis and company assessments, devising and present business cases, supporting the planning and execution of commercial initiatives and projects, and delivering business process improvement initiatives.

Key Accountabilities Include:
*Business case development and project delivery
*Carry out market analysis and opportunity assessments
*Prepare compelling business cases
*Develop project plans
*Work with user representatives and key business stakeholders to gather, define, document and prioritise requirements.
*Work with project stakeholders to validate their requirements and analysis models through reviews, walkthroughs, etc.
*Provide end to end management of commercial programme initiatives
*Data Presentation and Analysis
*Support reporting of key data to stakeholders in a way that is sensitive to the target audience, ensuring that data is as accurate and current as possible
*Define and document key processes where there are gaps in documentation
*Tracking Interdependencies
*Monitoring activity across projects to provide a joined up view, anticipating potential risks and conflicts
*Track and report progress for dependent teams
*Track scope changes and other impacts
*Stakeholder Management
*Interact within internal team and with external teams to identify and confirm discrepancies and interdependencies
*Facilitate planning and risk management workshops
*Project delivery and process improvement
*Analyse available data on team performance and commercial opportunities to identify potential process improvement areas and improved ways of working e.g. improved training materials, streamlined tools to support ways of working
*Work with technical subject matter experts to convert requirements into design artefacts such as data models, data entity relationship diagrams and interoperability standards.
*Perform gap analysis between as is and to be states
*Model and document using analysis and modelling techniques/tools such as use cases, process flow, data modelling, screen wireframes/mock-ups
*Document business and operational processes
*Team coordination and development duties
*Preparing presentations and briefing notes as required.
*Providing secretariat services for relevant team and project meetings. This includes agenda preparation, minutes and action logs.
*Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and managing discreet initiatives.

Skills Required Include:
*Able to produce market analysis and commercial assessments in a compelling way.
*Proven ability to identify commercial propositions and business needs and translate those into requirements, business cases and project plans.
*Solid project management and business analysis skillsets
*Proven capability in engaging stakeholders to elicit requirements and deliver required outputs and results.
*Good at facilitating requirements workshops, ranging in size from one-to-one interviews up to large groups.
*Solid expertise at writing unambiguous, verifiable requirements to a testable level (functional, non-functional) and producing model processes using various methods (e.g. use cases, activity diagrams, workflows).
*Solid expertise in writing systems and user documentation in an IT environment.
*Demonstrated experience in meeting high volume documentation deadlines
*Ability to work in a team environment, with good collaborative working skillset
*Strong communication and influencing skills
