Cancer Programme Manager - London
12 month Fixed-Term - ASAP
£60k - Depending on experience

Paramount are working in partnership with Genomics England to expand their team in order to deliver success with the 100,000 Genomes Project. This is a challenging and fast moving project with the aim to carry out whole genome sequencing on 100,000 participants. Genomics England works with key partners to collect, transport, store, quality check and sequence the samples from participants. The aim for this project is to create a new genomic medicine service for the NHS - transforming the way people are cared for. Patients may be offered a diagnosis where there wasn't one before. In time, there is the potential of new and more effective treatments.
You will be responsible for managing various projects required for the delivery of the cancer programme's objectives.

Key Accountabilities:
*Oversee the project support officer to ensure the delivery of all Genomics England's responsibilities during the on-boarding process of for hospitals
*Managing the operational implementation and delivery of new recruitment activities including any new proposed cohorts with bespoke requirements for how they need to be mobilised
*Liaise with members of the Genomics England multi-disciplinary team and NHS stakeholders in developing project strategy and detailed plans and act as point of contact with internal and external stakeholders. Ensure that all specific requirements are accommodated within the plans
*Project management of project progress against milestones, management of issues, risks and dependencies and resolution of these
*Monitor participant recruitment in collaboration with NHS colleagues. Assessing the impact of specific site on-boarding or recruitment initiatives
*Work co-operatively with the Genomics England legal team and NHS colleagues to ensure all appropriate governance and agreements and contracts are fully executed prior to 'go live'

Key Requirements:
*Significant project management experience within a research or healthcare environment
*Experience of working with complex IT projects or change projects
*Experience in a start-up or comparable environment
*Experience of delivering projects across the full lifecycle from translating customer needs into accurate requirement specifications, through planning and implementation
*Experience of writing detailed reports and conducting root cause analysis
*Positive flexible approach with a can do attitude
*Excellent communication skills, comfortable presenting data and advice to senior management and a diverse audience
*Able to work effectively in a fast paced environment with competing priorities
*Experience managing non-commercial research or NHS projects with a cancer focus
*Experience of sample and data collection within the NHS and participant recruitment (desirable)
*PRINCE2 or APM membership (desirable)
