Associate Director - Modelling and Simulation/Clinical Pharmacology

**Full time, Permanent, Hertfordshire, UK, PK/PD, NONMEM, Supporting EMEA, Pension, Health Care, Pharmaceutical, Office based**

A hugely successful pharmaceutical company in Hertfordshire is working with Paramount Recruitment to select a talented Senior candidate for an Associate Director in Modelling and Simulation/Clinical Pharmacology.

Candidates who are interested could have a background as a Statistician, Pharmacometrician, Clinical Pharmacologist or could be an Associate Director in this field already. This position is not line management, and you would be working in a small team in close connection with the US group.

Job Responsibilities:

*Support global head of Modelling & Simulation in acting as a mentor and coach to team members
*Providing support and conducting PK/PD analyses required to support key ongoing projects, and to help with outsourcing/outsourced work
*Assist with managing/overseeing outsourced work with collaborating CROs for M&S work
*Supporting others within Global Clinical Pharmacology, Translational Medicine and project teams with respect to the design and analyses of population PK/PD studies.
*Generating, compiling and oversee M&S analysis plans and reports in accordance with departmental SOPs/SWPs and regulatory guidelines.
*Interacting with clinical, statistics and data management functions
*Draft and review investigator brochures, relevant sections of submissions documents and other regulatory documents.
*Prepare Population PK and PK/PD related responses to requesting regulatory agencies
*Represent the business at major scientific and medical meetings.
*Keep up to date on best current practices and knowledge in the fields of Modelling & Simulation and PK/PD

Experience Required:

*Qualified to a master or preferably to PhD degree in a related field
*Understanding of the use of NONMEM software is essential for the job
*Experience in using R, S-plus and/or SAS will be an advantage
*Extensive experience in the area of PK/PD analysis and/or pharmacometrics
*Experience in the clinical development of oncology drugs
*Strong interpersonal skills are required
*Clear communication skills and the ability to work as a team
*Pro-active, enthusiastic, driven and passionate about health care
