Account Director- Healthcare Communications- Greater Manchester

I am currently working with a medical communications agency in Cheshire who are looking for an Account Director to join their team. They provide strategic consultancy and scientific tactical support for the Pharmaceutical and Medical sectors and work with a wide range of international clients. The company focus on the healthcare sector and work with pharmaceutical, diagnostics, biotech, medical devices and vaccines clients.

They are looking for an Account Director to deliver revenues between 1-1.5m per annum for assigned accounts. You will be providing strategic and commercial direction to account teams, delivering and presenting 1-year communication plans and review proposals developed by Account Managers/Account Executives. You will also have up to 4 direct reports and be responsible for leading, motivating and driving your team! Furthermore, you will build long-term business relationships with clients, oversee the delivery of all live projects and take overall responsibility for client negotiations.

The client is ideally looking for experienced professionals who have previously worked for a healthcare communications agency, or in the pharmaceutical industry and has an understanding of the drug development and communication process. A broad range of therapeutic knowledge is desired as well as a science degree.
